KENNEDY EZANGI, known by his stage name MASTER KENNEDY, is a Congolese producer, sound engineer, singer-songwriter, rapper, and guitarist from Kinshasa, Congo, DRC. Master Kennedy adapts modern styles like Afrobeats, Afro-Pop, Reggae, and hip-hop. He was born to a musical family—his father was a musician, singer, drummer, and songwriter in bands with Reddy Amisi, Papa Wemba, and Awilo Longomba. His mother was a traditional singer in a Bandung group.
Master Kennedy first started his music career as a gospel singer in various churches in his hometown of Kinshasa. He was the first winner of the male vocals competition in Kinshasa, which brought him to the attention of the singer Tiffany Moka. He has opened for Tekno, P Square, Diamond Platnumz, and Awilo Longomba. In 2018 he established a studio in Salt Lake City and became a professional producer and sound engineer. In 2022, he formed the band Master Kennedy and created a style called AFRO-REGGAE.
