Building on a platform of classic alternative country music, inspired by bands like Wilco and Turnpike Troubadours, The Salt Lake City-based band Lucy Avenue set out to build something a little different. If classic country music was the destination, it’s fair to say that Lucy avenue chose to get lost somewhere along the way.
Led by Devin Lee (Killbot, Six feet in the Pine), this twangy, high-velocity alt-country band delivers a high-intensity rock and roll show brooding in moody murder ballads and psychedelic anti-establishment anthems. Further tailoring a non-traditional approach to an obsessively, and sometimes painfully, traditional genre.
