Formed in 2023, Theoretical Blonde is a 5-piece band from Salt Lake City, Utah, with its roots in bluegrass, Americana, folk, and jazz. The quintet - Peter Cain (mandolin, vocals), Ford Huntington (Guitar, vocals), Grayson Wickel (Fiddle, Banjo, vocals), Patrick McNally (Bass, vocals), and Daniel McNally (Keys) - each bring a different musical background and approach to the table, resulting in the unique amalgam of sound the band creates. While the group has its roots in a fairly traditional string-band format, the music covers a myriad of genres. With 60+ shows under their belt this year alone, the band is picking up a lot of momentum in the Salt Lake City area and is getting ready to take the act on the road in the coming months.
